Senior .NET engineer

As our Senior .NET Engineer, you'll own the backend architecture and the full AI stack: RAG pipelines, multilingual NLP, cross-border contract engines. The whole thing.

Code

This is a high-autonomy, high-trust role. You'll have the space to make real architectural decisions, the support when you need it, and 900+ real users to build for. There's a genuine path to CTO / Senior Architect as we scale — not as a carrot, but because we'll need someone to grow into that seat.

• Owning the backend architecture — you'll make the calls that shape how the platform scales
• Building the AI stack from the ground up — RAG pipelines, multilingual NLP, LLM integration. Your design, your decisions
• Designing RAG pipelines that pull from legal databases, document flows, and jurisdiction-specific rules

Code

• Working across languages — Dutch, French, English, and more as we enter new markets (Belgium already has three official languages, what's one more?)
• Architecting cross-border logic — legal rules differ between Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and beyond
• Shipping to production — 900+ customers use this daily, so what you build actually matters
• Collaborating closely with the team — you'll work with our CPO, product team, and developers. Small enough that everyone knows everyone, big enough that you won't be doing it alone
• Helping shape engineering culture — as we grow, you'll help hire and set the bar for how we build
• Staying curious — new models, new frameworks, new techniques. We'll back you to explore them

We're not looking for a perfect checklist match. If you recognize yourself in most of these, let's talk:

• You have 5+ years of .NET / C# experience and you're comfortable owning backend architecture
• You've spent time building ML/AI systems — RAG pipelines, LLM integration, or NLP in production
• You're familiar with tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or Hugging Face
• You've worked with LLMs — prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evals — and you have opinions about what actually works
• You ship things. You'd rather have something working than something perfect on a whiteboard
• You're comfortable figuring things out as you go — we'll give you a compass, not a GPS
• You speak fluent Dutch and English, French is a plus

• Experience in legal tech or regulated industries
• Background in document generation
• Familiarity with Belgian/European legal frameworks
• Having built a team (or part of one) from scratch

We're 20 people. That means no layers, no politics, no "let me check with my manager's manager." You'll know everyone by name within a week.
